Guide

Convert PDF to PNG

PNG keeps sharp edges, so it is a good choice for a page that contains text, a diagram, a screenshot, or a logo. JPEG is smaller, but it softens those edges.

Use PDF to PNG when you need a picture of the page that still looks clean if someone zooms in. Each page is saved as its own PNG.

How to convert

  1. Choose PDF to PNG.
  2. Upload the PDF.
  3. Download the PNG, or a zip if the PDF has more than one page.

Questions

PNG is better for text and graphics. JPG is better when you mainly need a smaller photo-like file.

Will a transparent background stay transparent?

A normal PDF page has a white background, so the PNG usually has a white background too.

Is there a size limit?

Yes. One upload can be up to 80 MB.
